As You Were

This episode almost provides as the closure we Buffy/Riley fans need. Buffy never explicitly tells Riley that she went after him, but we do get:
Buffy: Riley, that night... I never got the chance ... to tell you ... how sorry I was. About what happened between us.
Riley: And you never have to.
It begins with Riley coming back and begging for Buffy's help. As we well know, Buffy's life isn't going so well and Riley's reappearance throws her almost off her rocker. At least she didn't shave all her hair off.
As they are tracking down the demon they bump into Sam, Riley's WIFE! As the B/R shippers let out a collective cry of anguish, Sam pranced around the scoobies, turning each of them to her way. As nice as she was, she's definately not for Riley. Sorry, she's just not good enough!
While we finally got some closure with Buffy and Riley finally getting to say a proper goodbye, it still just wasn't right. Not to mention opening some new horrid doors, such as Riley finding out about Buffy and Spike. Not the best reunion for them was it?
Then again, if I'd had my way, he'd dump Sam and sweep Buffy back off her feet and they'd get married and live happily ever after.
Anyway, it was great to see Riley back on our screens, and I his reappearence sorted the confused and lost Buffy out for good.
