Riley Finn
Riley Finn was a cornfed boy from a farm in Iowa and came to California to go to Sunnydale University. He joined the army and was put into the initiative to be part of the program to capture, study and rehabilitate demons. He rose quickly in the ranks and in the eyes of Professor Maggie Walsh and was soon leading teams to capture demons, as well as beign the TA of Maggie Walsh's psychology class.When he got together with Buffy, everything changed and he was soon drawn away from the initiative. He was very much in love with her but was never sure she felt the same. Eventually her inability to open up and be close to him, and his feelings of inadequacy after he was no longer taking the government steroids let him to go back to the army, to join a demon capture team in South America. Buffy realised she didn't want him to go, after a talking to by Xander, but by the time she got to the airfield to stor him, he was in the air and on his way.
